@manton Got it. Will do. Hover is still doing things on their end it looks like as I get am still getting that “Your custom domain isn't pointed to Micro.blog yet. Configure your DNS first. DNS changes may take a while to propagate, so check back later." notification.
@manton Just noticed that Hover has Micro.blog set up in their “Connect" service! That's incredibly handy (and awesome). Once I enable that, do I have to do anything additional on M.B's end?

@manton Ah, yeah, mine definitely expired. :) I am working on a game plan to finally migrate my self-hosted WP site to micro.blog. I just need to see what my exit strategy is from my hosting provider. Once I have a handle on that, I'll reach out and extend that trial. Thanks!
@manton Is there a way to migrate the contents of my WordPress site to micro.blog without a $5 a month account? Just hoping to see how it all imports without purchasing an account, only to potentially cancel it. I am 99.9% sure this isn't possible, but thought I'd check.

@Bobfa I am in the exact same boat! Was thinking of moving my personal self-hosted WP site over to MB to start. The simplicity of MB is a strength IMHO.

@gerwitz yeah! Absolutely. 😊 it’s not exactly what I want to do, but I do love how MB has liberated people in different ways. I currently selfhost WordPress and plan on dipping my toes in with MB’s crossposting. Thanks for the reply! 👍🏼
@adamprocter thanks for the response. It’s much appreciated! I work in frontend web development on a freelance level and was relieved to see there was room to tweak look-and-feel elements of MB. It’d be hard sell for me personally, if it was otherwise.
@ronguest in my case “move” means abandoning my old site/platform for an MB hosted site. I am aware of the various ways you can utilize MB to cross-post to different platforms. However, I’d like to commit to one platform and not spread out too much. Thanks for the input! 👍🏼
@JohnPhilpin Yeah, seeing a good bit of that going on with other micro.blog’ers. It makes sense. My hesitancy lies with moving a site with almost 2 decades of content to a platform that is still young. I love it here though, it's super refreshing. I'll think on it some more. Thx!

@sergio\_101 Sounds like a plan. I think you'll like it! FWIW - a little update - it wasn't a faulty Nest. It looks like it's a fuse or wiring issue with our HVAC system.
@sergio\_101 We've only had it in this new/old house (built in the 40’s) so I don't have old data to compare. That said, weve doubled our living space (1000 sq ft) & our bill is comparable to our old flat. If you're curious, I'd take the leap & wait for one to go on sale.
@sergio\_101 I really hoping I am an outlier and that I just got a lemon Nest. It worked flawlessly for roughly 3 months before not getting a charge. While it worked, it was a really cool piece of tech. Some reviews claim that it can pay for itself in a few years.

@ismh Snagged one this AM! Space Grey. My wife and I are really only looking for a better-than-decent speaker for the kitchen to play music and entertain guests. Any “smarts” that it comes with or gains down the road is gravy. Being the Apple ecosystem is a plus too.

@manton Kindly feature request. I didn’t see this in settings. When navigating away from my timeline to anything and then back to it, the app scrolls me all the way to the top. Any plans to retain your spot in the timeline if you navigate away? Saves several swipes down.

@manton I am sure this has been asked a bazillion times but, are there any plans to allow users to edit their posts after publishing? I noticed you can remove them, but I didn’t see an edit option. Really loving the service so far! Thanks for believing in it. 😌
